US Sailing has announced roster names and details for the 2018 U.S. Youth Olympic Sailing Team to compete at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 on October 6-18, 2018.
The premier event in international youth sailing, the 2018 Youth Worlds (July 14–21, Corpus Christi, Texas) is expected to include competitors from over 70 nations. The event is set to be held in U.S. waters for the first time since Newport, Rhode Island hosted the regatta in 1996, and is open to sailors under age 19.
With Opti Team Trials over, and the high school sailing season winding down, many youth racers are considering the question, what’s next? Sailing is a sport with almost unlimited options, from day sailing to offshore passages, dinghies to schooners, skiffs to cats, kiting, foiling… the list goes on. What a great time to be a sailor.
