US Sailing Foundation

Planned Giving

You may believe, as we do, that sailing is a journey worth taking – a journey worth sharing. Pass the sailing experience and it's valuable life lessons on to future generations of sailors through a legacy gift to the US Sailing Foundation Planned Giving Program.

Prospective donors are urged to consult their personal tax and financial advisors concerning specific planned giving options and the tax consequences of making gifts to the US Sailing Foundation.

The IRA charitable rollover is a terrific way to make a tax-free gift to the US Sailing Foundation and strengthen the future of our sport.  A donation transferred directly from your IRA to the US Sailing Foundation is not considered federally taxable income for you, but it does count toward your required minimum distribution.
