Great South Bay Yacht Racing Association (GSBYRA) Long Island, NY specific GSBYRA Sailing Grants recognize the sailing effort of applicants, who exemplify the principles of GSBYRA and foster sailboat racing through service, participation and involvement in various GSBYRA activities, committees and regattas. Applicants for the monetary grant must be members of GSBYRA Full Member Clubs, and be high school graduates or undergraduate students pursuing post secondary education at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or vocational school. Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation The Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation was established in 1990 to provide support for youth and adult sailing and watersport programs. The Foundation also offers funding for sailing and watersports programs for at-risk youth, providing opportunities for young people who might otherwise be unable to enjoy these activities. We also provide safe-boating support to adult programs and events.Foundation grants provide the equipment and instructors needed to promote, teach, and encourage safe and skilled boating in the recreational and competitive environments. Many of the finest young sailors who call the Santa Monica Bay home have received support from the Foundation.  Not listed
St. Francis Sailing Foundation Our grants fund deserving organizations, individuals, and teams to promote sailing, racing competition, and maritime education. Most grant applications are submitted for a particular event or a series of related events that last over an extended time period. The primary purpose of our grants is to help fund individuals’ travel expenses related to out-of-town regattas. In some cases we fund coaching or other support. West Marine Blue Future Grants West Marine offers two BlueFuture grant cycles each year that benefit nonprofit organizations dedicated to youth waterlife recreation and education. Our grants provide much-needed funds so these valuable, community-based organizations may provide scholarships, purchase new equipment, maintain staff, add programs and do so much more. $1,500
