US Sailing’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) is kicking off 2019 with the next phase of Project Pipeline, which is the nation’s first long-term, high-performance youth sailing strategy. The goal of Project Pipeline is to give young U.S. competitors the skills necessary to compete successfully in all areas of international sailing, including the Olympic Games. The United States Olympic Committee announced its annual award recipients on Monday, December 3 for three supporting coaches of the year in 2018. The U.S. Youth Olympic Sailing Team has touched-down in Argentina for the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 from October 6-18, 2018. Held every four years, 2018 will mark the third edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games, which are expected to include nearly 4,000 athletes from over 200 nations. The sailing events will welcome over 100 athletes aged 15-18 from 44 countries. Five sailing events will take place at Club Náutico San Isidro in the Argentine capital.
