Just over a month after the Paris Olympics, nine Olympians and a crowd of supporters gathered in Marblehead, MA at Eastern Yacht Club to celebrate the summer Games. Presented by Samsonite and Sextant Wines, the evening featured a panel-style discussion full of stories and lessons learned and allowed athletes time to reconnect with each other and visit with people who’d been cheering them on while they represented the US in France.

The US Sailing Safety at Sea Committee has awarded the Arthur B. Hanson Rescue Medal to the skippers and crew of two sailing vessels, Ceilidh and Banter, who rescued competitors off a life raft from the sailboat Alliance that sank during an offshore race.
