Siebel Sailors Program Now Accepting Sailboat and RIB Request for Proposals

US Sailing is renewing and expanding its successful Siebel Sailors Program to further increase opportunity and diversity in the sport of sailing.

To support this expansion, US Sailing is seeking 50-100 single-handed dinghies, double-handed dinghies, or multi-handed centerboard/retractable keelboats and 20-30 Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB), engines and related equipment.

With these RFPs, US Sailing is seeking to develop a strategic partnership with a manufacturer of vital equipment needed for the Siebel Sailors Program. These partnerships form the lifeline that US Sailing needs to bring sailing to under resourced communities and diverse populations.

Rather than a one-time partnership, this manufacturer would grow with the program, providing support for the centers that rely on their equipment. This partnership may be comprised of a combination of cash sponsorship, value-in-kind, or any combination thereof. Interested companies are encouraged to schedule a meeting with Mason Sheen to discuss potential partnership arrangements before submitting their tender. Proposals are due May 2, 2022.

As a community sailing program, Siebel Sailors is looking for durable, high-usage boats that can last multiple seasons with wear and tear. Full requirements are available in the RFP documents, which can be found here: https://www.ussailing.org/education/youth/siebel-sailors-program

Submit your proposal through email (with proposal attached) to Mason Sheen, Senior Partnership Associate, at MasonSheen@ussailing.org.  Submissions will only be accepted electronically.

We will host open calls for anyone who wants to ask questions and discuss. If you are interested, request a meeting invite by emailing Mason Sheen. Proposals must be received no later than May 2, 2022, at 5:00pm EST. PDF format for submission preferred.
