Jack Gierhart, CEO of US Sailing, provides an update on the state of sailing here in the U.S. as we look ahead to summer sailing activities around the country.
US Sailing released important youth sailing news last week, including the recently named Primary and Supporting Siebel Centers in Florida. Siebel Centers around the country are ramping up their programming for the summer months ahead.
The US Sailing Offshore Department is adopting a new infrastructure for managing data and securing ratings for the Portsmouth Yardstick. More to come on these developments in the coming weeks.
The US Sailing Team athletes continue their training, including many who are returning to the water and following best practices for safety protocols at locations around the nation.
We at US Sailing are addressing the challenges of diversity and inclusion in our sport and working closely with our Diversity & Inclusion Committee on how we can continue to work towards equal opportunity for all people in sailing.
