USA Wraps Skiff/Nacra Worlds with Best 49er Results in Decades

The final fleet and medal race delivered what sailing fans live for; strategy, execution, and nail-biting finishes. 14 US iQFoil athletes are ready to fly in Clearwater, Florida for the 2021 US National and Gulf Coast Championships. 23 competitors from six countries will take the water November 12-14 at Clearwater Community Sailing Center. IQFoil European Championships Wrapped, USA Looking to Future as iQFoil Squad Takes Shape

The iQFoil European Championships concluded on October 28 in Marseille, France, the future sailing venue of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. After much anticipation during the light wind postponement on shore, Daniela Moroz (Lafayette, Calif.) took the win in her final race, securing her fifth Women’s Formula Kite World Champion title. Under the new scoring system that will be utilized in the kite’s Paris 2024 debut, Moroz only needed one more race win on the final day of racing to bring home the gold.

US Sailing has named the 16 athletes that will be representing the US at the 2021 Youth Sailing World Championships. The 50th edition of the premier event in international youth sailing will take place December 11-18 in Al-Mussanah, Oman and is open to athletes under age 19.

The four-time World Champion sailed a stellar regatta and successfully navigated the new format of Formula Kite championship racing on the same waters where the sport of kiteboarding first originated in the mid-1990s.
