In September 2017, Andrew Mollerus and Ian MacDiarmid teamed up to campaign in the 49er. Currently standing 4th in the World Sailing world fleet rankings, they have consistently been the top-ranked US 49er team since 2019. They won the 2021 Pre-Europeans, were second at the 2021 49er Asian Championships, and finished 6th in the 2021 Worlds in Oman. Andrew and Ian narrowly missed the selection for the 2020 Olympic Games after representing Team USA at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where they finished fourth. Based in Miami, Florida, and bringing a decade of combined US Sailing Team experience, they are currently campaigning for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
