About WASZP

Designed as an entry level foiling dinghy the WASZP Class has grown since 2016 to almost 2,000 members with competitive regattas around the world every week culminating in the International WASZP Games with almost 300 boats on the start line. The boat is strong and reliable enabling close one-design racing, less complex rigging and a price point similar to an ILCA. There is a Pathway of rig sizes with an entry level setup for the smallest Opti sailors and then a choice of three larger sails as you grow using the same hull and fittings. The WASZP represents the future of dinghy sailing and a pathway to international competition on the foiling boats of tomorrow. Learn more by watching ‘Taking Flight’ about the development of the WASZP. Visit our North American calendar to see upcoming charter and training events.
