Support Youth Performance

Your gift will support America's current and future sailing champions, including:

The US Sailing Youth Worlds Team, competing in the Youth World Championships.

16 athletes sailing in 6 boat classes will represent the USA at the 2025 Youth Worlds in Vilamoura, Portugal in December of 2025. This follows a strong performance at the 2024 Youth Worlds which saw the USA bring home three podium finishes and six top-5 finishes, as well as earning 5th place country in the Nations Trophy.

Your support allows US Sailing to fully support all aspects of this important Team USA event.

“Winning a medal feels really rewarding after all of our preparation for this event and over the past year. We have been training for this event with as many days on the water we can – either with other boats to line up with or just by ourselves focusing on speed and maneuvers.” - Molly Bonham, 2024 Youth Worlds Bronze Medalist, 29er Class

Seed the growth of a new era - the US Sailing Youth National Team.

The feedback and guidance have been clear - sailors, coaches, parents and programs want a clear, transparent and effective youth development system that we can all get behind. The new US Sailing Youth National Team now encompasses a broader pool of nationally recognized talent beyond the 16 that qualify for the Youth World Championship. Made up of up to 72 athletes across the 6 youth classes, the Youth National Team features a consistent training and competition schedule, transparent selection process, and a simple goal - to reach our potential, as a TEAM.

“Adding the Youth National Team is the clear next step in the evolution of our program. We want to give youth sailors a clear goal based on objective results, and a path for national-level support. Our goal is to support the development of the best sailors in the world, and to build a strong team culture that helps them develop into great people.” - John Pearce, US Sailing Youth Racing Director.
