The Level 3 Coach Workshop provides coaches with information on how to develop performance boat handling and racing skills and instill in athletes the importance sportsmanship. This foundational course was designed to help raise the collective level of coaching in the US. For organizations looking to hire coaches, this program offers assurances that they’ve received training in team management, safety and on water drill design. For new coaches, attending this workshop will provide guidance on best practices, while experienced coaches will get both exposure to new techniques as well as reinforcement of the necessary standards.

Raising the Level of Coaching
As part of our commitment to raising the level of coaching, US Sailing has made it a requirement that all coaches who attend a US Sailing Championship, or Championship Qualifier, must have Level 3 Coach Certification.

Are there any pre-requisites?
