CALI, COLOMBIA (December 2, 2021) – Four athletes from the US are racing at a brand-new event with a major incentive on the line: gold medalists at the inaugural Jr. Pan American Games will directly qualify for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

Racing for the US:
      • ILCA
          • Radial: Charlotte Rose (Houston, Tex.)
          • Full: Leo Boucher (West River, MD)
      • IQFoil
          • Women’s: Bryn Muller (Largo, Fla.)
          • Men’s: Alex Temko (Clearwater, Fla.)

“The breeze is blowing and the venue is beautiful,” said Rose after her final day of practice in Cali before the regatta. “I’m just focusing on keeping it simple, going fast, and putting my energy toward the things I can control.”

“All the athletes here have acted like true professionals, valuing recovery and fitness to maximize their performance at this event,” said US Sailing Team Medical Director and Physiotherapist, Dr. Chris Ellis. “They’ve done what it takes to be prepared to compete.”
