US Sailing Renews Longstanding Partnership with Harken & McLube through LA 28

BRISTOL, R.I. (July 14, 2025) – US Sailing, the National Governing Body for the sport of sailing, is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with Harken and McLube, sailing industry leaders synonymous with innovation and performance. The renewed collaboration will continue through 2028 to support the entirety of the Olympic quad, reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence on the water.

This recommitment extends a decades-long relationship that assures US Olympians bring the best equipment in the world to the starting line.  As part of the partnership, Harken will continue to be the Official Marine Hardware of the US Sailing Team, and McLube will continue to be the Official Marine Lubricant of The US Sailing Team.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Harken and McLube, American companies whose commitment to innovation, reliability, and excellence directly supports US Sailing’s elite athletes. This is more than a sponsorship, it’s a shared belief in the power of preparation, performance, and representing the United States on the world stage,” said US Sailing Team High Performance Director Marcus Lynch. “We’re incredibly grateful for their continued belief in our mission and in the athletes working every day to represent Team USA.”

Harken support includes providing essential equipment and services to the US Sailing Team.  Their continued investment plays a vital role in enabling high performance success for the team.

“Olympic competition is the ultimate litmus test–the results are the report card,” said Bill Goggins, Harken CEO. “At Harken, we’re competitive. This agreement represents our commitment to do anything we can to get US Olympians to the podium—no excuses. No end to the commitment.”

McLube Support includes providing essential marine lubricants such as SAILKOTE™, ONEDROP™, and HULLKOTE™ to our sailors in addition to technical application services.

“We are honored to support our dedicated US Sailors with low-friction coatings for everything that moves on the water,” said Chris Knoell, President of McLube. “We look forward to innovating and iterating with our athletes – whatever they need, whenever and wherever they need it.”

Together, US Sailing, Harken, and McLube look forward to exciting competition, development, and innovation over the next four years as American sailing heads into a bright new chapter.
