US Sailing Extends Partnership with Rolex Watch U.S.A.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (July 11, 2017) – US Sailing announced today the continuation of their partnership with iconic watch brand, Rolex Watch U.S.A.

While continuing its position as the Official Timepiece of US Sailing and title sponsor of US Sailing’s Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year Awards, Rolex is recognized as the primary Corporate Patron to the US Sailing Foundation, the philanthropic entity that supports US Sailing programs, initiatives and services through donor investment. Through this recognition, Rolex is also a Corporate Partner of US Sailing’s Reach, a national STEM education initiative dedicated to educating sailing programs and schools on how to best utilize sailing as an educational platform.

US Sailing has long viewed Rolex as a brand that exemplifies excellence and precision. This new era in the relationship not only builds on the partnership that the two organizations have forged over three decades, but also continues the encouragement and promotion of excellence while highlighting the rich traditions of the sport.

“Our friends at Rolex have been a tremendous supporter of the US Sailing programs, services and events that play an important role in the development of sailing in the United States,” said Jack Gierhart, CEO of US Sailing. “We are excited about the future as we have so many great opportunities in our partnership to promote excellence and opportunity in sailing.”

US Sailing’s support from Rolex improves our overall capabilities and positively impacts our efforts to create and implement key educational and competitive initiatives that are essential in moving the sport forward for generations to come.
