BRISTOL, R.I. (May 12, 2020) – The US Sailing Reach Initiative has released its 2020 Impact Report. Launched in 2012, Reach is US Sailing’s STEM education initiative. Since its inception, Reach has had an immeasurable impact on youth across the country who are learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts using sailing as an educational platform.

The three Reach Hubs in the United States collaborate to share resources, training, and best practices to support the growth of their programs and provide mentoring to additional programs nationally who are interested in creating hands-on learning opportunities for all youth. In 2020, the Southern California Hub concluded its three-year funding cycle. Additionally, several programs received grants to get started in implementing Reach at their organization. Click here to access the 2020 Reach Impact Report.
