US Sailing’s new Olympic Development Program Manager, Rosie Chapman, is inviting all who are interested in Olympic Development (ODP) to fill out their interest in this form to enter the database for upcoming clinics and camps. Even if athletes have been in touch in the past, all are encouraged to submit interest.
What is “ODP?”
Athletes are in the Olympic Development category if they’re over 19 years old, pursuing the Olympics, currently sailing Olympic classes* or are ready to transition out of youth classes, and have not yet qualified for the US Sailing Team.**
*Olympic classes: Nacra 17, 49er, 49erFX, Mixed, 470, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Men’s / Women’s Formula Kite, Men’s / Women’s iQFOiL
**Unique circumstances outside of these general identifiers will also be considered.
What is the deadline?
There is no deadline for the form, but with upcoming camps and clinics on the horizon, athletes are encouraged to submit their interest as soon as possible to get on the ODP radar.
