Guests who purchase the Sponsorship, Gold, Silver or Bronze tables for the Cocktail Reception Dinner Program, along with two crew, will be paired with athletes from the US Sailing Team for a day of fabulous racing on Sonars. One lucky sailor, along with six friends will have the opportunity to purchase the Sponsorship Table and be seated with: Ken Read, two-time US Rolex Yachtsman of the year, two-time skipper of the Volvo Ocean race and winner of over 40 World, North American and National Championships; U.S. Olympic Sailing’s High Performance Director Charlie McKee, two-time bronze medalist in the 470 and 49er classes and seasoned Olympic coach; and one of the U.S. team’s top athletes.

Schedule and Details
Skippers Meeting – September 27th, 9am, New York Yacht Club, Harbour Court Sailing Center
Racing – Warning Signal at 10am. Races will be held in Sonars between Rose and Goat Islands, a short sail from the Club. Fleet races (both spinnaker and non-spinnaker) will be run, score will be kept and fun will be had.
Cocktail Reception and Evening Program – A cocktail reception and a dinner program with live auction will start at 6PM at NYYC Harbour Court. Ken Read will serve as Master of Ceremonies and will lead a discussion with the athletes about the team’s Rio 2016 campaign. Racers and non-racers are sure to enjoy! Attire: Smart Cocktail Casual (no blue jeans please).
Auction – Your generous bids on an array of exciting and valuable auction items will benefit the athletes of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Program, bringing them much closer to gold in 2016.
Also included with Sponsor Table and Gold Table purchases are non-sailing VIP access for family and guests on board a Hinckley yacht, as well VIP access at the 2015 Sailing World Cup Miami in January.
