Friday morning update from the 2017 International Women’s Keelboat Championship
Friday is the Championship Round featuring the top six teams in competition over six scheduled races. Here are the updated standings using League Racing Format.
The top six teams in contention:
Camila Flores (MEX) – 1 point
Eliane Fierro (MEX) – 2 Points
Megan Ploch (USA) – 3 Points
Giselle Camet (USA) – 4 Points
Emily Maxwell (USA) – 5 Points
Liz Barker (USA) – 6 Points
Thursday’s racing wrapped up with the Repechage Round featuring the bottom six teams sailing for the last two spots in the Championship Round. After the end of the First Two Rounds, the top four teams advanced into the Championship Round. Advancing teams carry a “virtual” race result that reflects ranking going into the Championship round. The Championship Round will consist of a maximum of 6 races, each team sailing each boat once. The last warning signal is scheduled for 3:00pm CT (subject to change).
