College Sailing Nationals is a highlight of the year—and a defining moment in the journey of so many talented student-athletes. Over eight days of intense competition, sailors brought passion, precision, and team spirit to the water for this year’s event. For many, it was the culmination of years of dedication. For others, it was just the beginning. And we couldn’t be more proud to have been there to celebrate them!
This year, US Sailing was there—not as organizers, but as supporters, cheerleaders, and resources. Nine staff members were on site throughout the event – including new CEO, Charlie Enright – assisting with live streaming, capturing on-the-water photography, and connecting directly with the athletes. From media coverage to meaningful conversations, our presence was all about one thing: showing up for the sailors.
Marcus Lynch, Rosie Chapman, and Sally Barkow from the US Sailing Team and Olympic Development Program were on the ground engaged with athletes, answered questions, and helped them see what’s possible beyond college sailing.
As Lexi Pline, US Sailing’s Content Lead, shared, “Every year I feel truly honored to be able to come to Nationals and bring coverage to the College Sailing audience. College sailing has something special – it has an excited fan base, it has team spirit, and it has a lot of celebration and joy. This audience may be small (comparatively), but it sure is mighty.”
Thanks to your support, US Sailing is able to be present at moments like these. You help us celebrate these incredible athletes and ensure they know this isn’t the end of the road—it’s just the beginning. Sailing is a lifelong sport, and we’re here to help guide all sailors on the way forward.
Thank you for believing in the power of people, and for making it possible to support the next generation of lifelong sailors.
