Hannah Tuson-Turner attended the University of Hawaii where she was a part of the sailing team and served as the team captain. Hannah managed the sailing program at Orcas Island for the past few years and is currently doing boat deliveries and charter work. Hannah is working towards completing the certification process to receive her Captain’s License. Hannah describes her coaching style as focused, positive, inclusive and competitive.

 

Do you have any advice for sailors attending the US Sailing Championships you are coaching at?

“Try your best, don’t take anything personally, be open to learning new things. Observe those who are better than you and help someone who has less experience than you.”
