Board of Directors Minutes
October 17, 2003
Annual General Meeting in St. Louis, MO
1 The meeting was called to order at 8 a.m. by President Dave Rosekrans.
2 Members present were: James Appel, Janet Baxter, Betsy Beddow, Stan Betts,
Terry Bischoff, Norton Brooker, Dean Brenner, Mitch Brindley, Craig Brown,
Larry Bulman, Ruth Creighton, Means Davis, Dan Doyle, Don Durant, Susan
Epstein, Arthur Fox, Mike Gebhardt, Louise Gleason, Fred Hagedorn, Dick
Hanneman, Tom Hubbell, Stephen Jeffries, Hart Kelley Patty Lawrence, Gene
McCarthy, Joseph Melino, Ken Morrison, Jim Muldoon, Bill Munster, John
Osmond, Joni Palmer, Dave Rosekrans, Bill Ross, Jack Rudy, Ding Schoonmaker,
Art Stevens, Bill Stump and Joan Thayer. Absent were: Melinda Berge, Jerelyn
Biehl, Paul Callahan, Jim Capron, Bruce Eissner, Greg Fisher, Joey Harris,
Mark Herrmann, Martha Parker, Mark Reynolds, Betty Sue Sherman, Dick Tillman
and Adam Werblow.
3 The secretary requested all delegates to the Annual Meeting of US SAILING
register for the Meeting on sign-in sheets available at the registration
desk.
4 Vice President Janet Baxter reviewed the procedures for the round table
discussions.
5 A motion to adjourn was made seconded and carried. Adjourned 8:10a.m.
6 The Annual Meeting of the Unites States Sailing Foundation was called to
order by President Robert Hobbs.
7 Hortensia Hacker reported that 132 gifts totaling $77,727 had been
received in the current fiscal year. A check for $51,425 was presented to
the US SAILING Olympic Sailing Committee.
8 A motion to elect the following as Trustees of the United States Sailing
Foundation was made, seconded and carried: Sarah Alger, Thomas Allen Jr.,
Faye Bennet, Crain Brown, Jack Caldwell, Ruth Creighton, Robert Hobbs, David
Irish, Stephen Jefferies, Gary Jobson, William Martin, Bill Munster, John
Osmond III, Dave Rosekrans, Peter Reichelsdorfer, Hortensia Hacker, James
Schoonmaker and Patricia Seidenspinner.
9 The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 a.m.
