*Tokyo 2020 Olympic Team Members

Stu McNay and Dave Hughes have both been at the Olympic game for several quads, beginning in 2008 as direct competitors seeking Team USA selection for the Beijing Games. Dave originally campaigned in the 470 class with Mikee Anderson-Mitterling, narrowly losing the selection to Stu and his teammate Graham Biel. Stu continued campaigning with Graham for the London Games, while Dave spent the 2012 quad coaching the American 49er team of Erik Stork and Trevor Moore. After the London 2012 Games, Stu proposed that Dave join him for the Rio 2016 quadrennium. Eager to return to the Olympics as a sailor, Dave readily accepted. The pair went on to perform well at several World Championship events and finished in fourth place at the Rio Game. This quad they hope to crack the podium and win the first American 470 Olympic medal since 2004.
