Louisa Nordstrom grew up in Sarasota, Florida but formed her passion for sailing in the Swedish archipelago, where she spent the summers growing up cruising the coastline with her family. She fell in love with racing while learning to sail Optis at the Venice Youth Boating Association and continued on to compete and excel in ILCA 6, C420s, and 29ers.

Louisa graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Cognitive Science in 2020, where she was a Women’s College Sailor of the Year Finalist (2019), Academic All-American (2020), and 4x All-American. Since graduating, Louisa has pivoted towards Paris 2024 in the 470— teaming up with her crew Trevor Bornarth and Oyster Bay 470 Team, coached by Yevgeniy Burmatnov.
