US SAILING

Web Liaisons

In 1998 a US SAILING Internet Task Force made a series of recommendations that resulted in the origin of the US SAILING web site as we know it today. A key part of that recommendation was the use of volunteer "web liaisons" to play a major role in developing and maintaining a large percentage of the site. That role has only become more important over time.  This site  for web liaisons was first constructed in 1999. This is where information specific to the "task" of being a volunteer web liaison can be foundIt is an ongoing effort!

As part of the 2006 reorganization of US SAILING the Web Liaisons are now a Committee, part of the Administration Division. Per the 2006 Regulations dated September 26, 2006:

4.02, I: Web Liaison Committee facilitates the use of volunteer "web liaisons" of US SAILING committees to develop, maintain, and update www.ussailing.org. The committee membership includes the chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee.

The "Terms of Reference" (TOR) document contains the basic premises under which the committee operates.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer web liaison and help provide support to a committee or council by supporting their web content on US SAILING please contact Chris Luppens.
