- About Us
We are welcoming Change Agents aboard to lead and invest in a revitalized future for sailing. US Sailing is in a singular position to drive change by redefining standards in skill development models and providing a breadth of sailing experiences to produce skilled, well-rounded and adaptable sailors. Our congressional mandate provides the authority, but not the funding, to develop a complete continuum of learning and sailing experiences – from the entry ramp to the podium platform.
The generous philanthropists who comprise any of the three US Sailing Leadership Societies are celebrated in recognition displays located in the lobby US Sailing headquarters in Bristol, RI.
The new US Sailing Foundation Afterguard is welcoming individuals and families who seek to make a broad and profound impact on the sport for future generations. This significant contribution can be made at once or over a 4-year period.

The members of the US Sailing Medalist Circle are the backbone of our nation’s Olympic Sailing Program. Unlike most of our competitors, the United States does not provide any government funding for Olympic sailing. Generous, committed Medalists take on this challenge and provide a significant portion of the funding needed for our determined athletes to represent all American sailors on the Olympic stage.
