The National Sailing Programs Symposium 2007

"Building & Rebuilding"

January 17-21, 2007
New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center
New Orleans, Louisiana

This year, witness and support the revitalization of Gulf Coast sailing programs. Hear first-hand stories of hurricane recovery plans, and learn from the experiences. Insurance coverage, starting from scratch, staffing, fundraising, public relations, community involvement.....As well as acquiring boats, building a race team, motivating volunteers, coaching, sports physiology, nutrition....

The Symposium covers information for everyone: junior sailing, Junior Olympics, community sailing, yacht clubs, windsurfing schools, commercial schools, camps, Scout Programs, college/high school programs, sailing coaches, adult programs, adaptive programs, parks & recreation, and YMCA/YWCA programs.

The Symposium is for all levels of involvement whether you are a first year organizer, a veteran program director, a volunteer, a staff person, an instructor, a board member or a parent. Topics cover the full spectrum from the nuts and bolts of starting a new program to the intricacies of keeping a successful program running smoothly. If you want to find, develop, and discuss new ideas for your program, the Symposium is the place to get it done!

This year, the One-Design Sailing Symposium will be held concurrently with the NSPS. Visit the ODSS website for more details on this popular event.
