Management of
U.S. Disabled & Paralympic Sailing Teams
The passage of the Ted Stevens Amateur and Olympic Sports Act of 1998
included Paralympic athletes for the first time, providing National
Governing Bodies of each of the Olympic sport the opportunity to integrate
their Paralympic and Olympic efforts. Sailing is one of the few sports
where disabled athletes can compete - without rule modifications - with a
realistic chance of winning against able-bodied athletes. |
