Like most disciplines, for multihull sailors, winter is a time for southern regattas. A number of our classes also hold midwinter championships. The bulk of our activity during this time of year has been spent on planning for regattas during the remainder of the year. Planning is in full steam for the Formula 16 World Championship (June, Newport, RI), the US Multihull Championship (Alter Trophy, Sept, Bristol, RI) as well as the full slate of North American Championships for each of the major multihull classes. A new multi-stop distance race, the Florida 300, has been added (May, Islamorada to Cocoa Beach).
