US SAILING and Mount Gay Rum, the Official Rum of US SAILING, are kicking off the fourth year of the popular US SAILING Mount Gay Rum Speaker Series in November 2007. The 2007/2008 season will consist of 15 events held at sailing organizations nationwide from November through April, bringing the country's top sailing experts into the hometowns of many sailors. Speakers confirmed for this year's season include renowned sailing commentator Gary Jobson, America's Cup Principal Race Officer Peter Reggio, racing rules expert Dave Perry, and and Dean Brenner the Olympic Committee Chairman to US SAILING. In addition to title sponsor Mount Gay Rum, the program is also sponsored by Sailing World magazine.

US SAILING's Mount Gay Rum Speaker Series was first created in 2005 as a grassroots, educational series delivering high quality seminars to cruising and racing sailors nationwide. The Series has proven to be very successful in its first three years with more than 6,000 sailors attending 46 events. Details are currently being finalized to bring the Series to 15 different sailing organizations around country, which will be held in locations nationwide such as Columbus, OH.; Tampa, Florida.; and Annapolis, Md.
