Race Management Committee

The Race Management Committee is composed of people actively involved in various aspects of local, regional, national and international race management. The Committee's responsibilities include:

administering the US SAILING certification programs for Club, Regional and National Race Officers
recommending (to the Racing Rules Committee) changes in the racing rules related to race management
developing standard sailing instructions and notices of race, including those for the US SAILING Championships
evaluating automated scoring programs
maintaining a database of sources of race committee equipment
promoting and running the annual St. Petersburg Yacht Club Trophy competition
creating and maintaining the content of the race management portion of the US SAILING web site

Harman Hawkins Trophy The Harman Hawkins Trophy will be awarded yearly (the first award was presented at the 2005 Spring Meeting) to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the sport of sailing in the field of Race Administration (Judging, Race Management, Appeals and Racing Rules).
