US SAILING Wins Best of Show Award
at Strictly Sail Chicago

Chicago, Ill. (February 1, 2008) - US SAILING is present in full force at Strictly Sail Chicago this week, winning the Best of Show award in the large booth category. The US SAILING display, located in the center of the boat show at Navy Pier in Chicago, includes several Olympic and Paralympic class sailboats and a wide range of information about the organization.

"US SAILING really went above and beyond to put together this booth," said Kevin Murphy, Strictly Sail Chicago's show manager. "The judges thought it looked great and it is clearly attracting a large crowd."

The award winners are selected on the following criteria: accessibility to audience, good traffic control, quality surroundings, sailing appeal, and staff presentation.

"We're having a lot of fun at Strictly Sail Chicago with a constant flow of visitors stopping by our booth," said Janet Baxter, immediate past president of US SAILING and a Chicago native. "Winning this award is truly the icing on the cake of what's shaping up to be a great exhibit here in Chicago."

The US SAILING display and Strictly Sail Chicago run through this Sunday, February 3 at Chicago's Navy Pier. The US SAILING booth is located at the center of the boat show in booth number 250. On Saturday, February 2, 2007 Pan American Games silver medalist Bill Faude will be at the US SAILING booth to meet visitors and sign autographs.
