US SAILING LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE
US SAILING TEAM AUDIO REPORTS FROM REGATTAS
Portsmouth, R.I. (July 11, 2006) – US SAILING, national governing
body of the sport, has announced today that it will offer exclusive
audio reports from US Sailing Team-members as they compete in sailing
regattas around the world. In addition to providing the latest news and
results, sailors will give listeners behind-the-scene tours of national
and international events leading up to the 2008 Olympic Games. Sailors
will share their on- and off-the-water observations, insight and
analyses, as well as personal details like their goals and fitness
regimes.
US Sailing Team-member Zach Railey (Clearwater, Fla.) launches the US
SAILING initiative, with daily audio reports from the Finn Gold Cup in
Split, Croatia, starting July 11. This event is a crucial and
competitive event for Railey, 22, who has been intensely training. “All
of the top sailors will be at the Finn Gold Cup, so it will be a good
event to measure myself,” said Railey. “I will be quite disappointed
with a finish outside of my target.”
