NAUTICA ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE GENERAL APPAREL SPONSORSHIP
WITH US SAILING AND US SAILING TEAMS
Lifestyle Brand Affirms Its Brand Heritage

New York, New York, June 23, 2005 – Nautica International, Inc. has signed an exclusive agreement with US SAILING, the national governing body of the sport of sailing, to be the “Official General Apparel Supplier” of the US Sailing Teams. The US Sailing Teams are comprised of: the US Sailing Team, the US Disabled Sailing Team and the US Youth World Team. As part of the multi-year partnership, Nautica will outfit these top sailors in the country with a complete dress and sportswear wardrobe as they compete in world-class regattas at home and abroad. Nautica has been closely associated with the sailing community since it was founded in 1983, and this expanded sponsorship agreement reaffirms the authenticity and heritage of the apparel brand.

In addition to the apparel sponsorship of the US Sailing Teams, Nautica is also sponsoring the following US SAILING events and will provide specially designed event clothing for the judges, umpires, club officials, volunteers and clinic coaches at these events:

U.S. Youth Sailing Championship - The U.S. Youth Sailing Championship to be held June 23-30 at Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT is the premiere youth sailing event in the country for sailors under age 20.

U.S. Team Racing Championship – The U.S. Team Racing Championship, scheduled for October 14-16, 2005 at the Larchmont Yacht Club in Larchmont, NY, attracts the best team racers in the country. The winning team qualifies for the ISAF (International Sailing Federation) World Team Racing Championship held every two years.

Rolex Miami OCR – The Rolex Miami OCR, scheduled for January 2006 in Miami, FL features racing in the events selected for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games and draws elite sailors, Olympic medalists and future Olympic hopefuls from around the world as they prepare for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Regattas. The regatta is also a qualifying event for the 2006 US Sailing Team and US Disabled Sailing Team.

“We’re very happy to expand our sponsorship of US SAILING and to have the opportunity to support the US Sailing Teams as well as two of the top U.S. Championships,” said Denise V. Seegal, Nautica’s President and CEO. “We are committed to continuing our relationship with US SAILING and look forward to exploring new ways to grow and strengthen our partnership.”

“US SAILING is thrilled to expand our strong partnership with Nautica,” said Charlie Leighton, US SAILING’s Executive Director. “Nautica’s support of the US Sailing Teams plays an important role in the success of our U.S. competitors at home and abroad. And Nautica’s sponsorship of some of the top sailing competitions in the country helps support US SAILING’s mission of encouraging participation and promoting growth in the sport.”
