SAILING RESUME:
DO YOU HAVE SIBLINGS THAT SAIL? Michael, 17, sails A division for The Bishop’s School sailing team
HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED IN SAILING? My parents were, and still are, heavily involved in sailing. They provided every opportunity I could imagine in the sport at a young age. I felt passionate about it sailing as I raced Naples Sabots in San Diego, and then picking up Laser Radial, Laser and doublehanded high school sailing.
WHO HAS BEEN MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN YOUR ATHLETIC CAREER AND WHY?
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR? 2002 Youth World Championship
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO PURSUE AN OLYMPIC SAILING CAMPAIGN? The amount of sailing. I love doing it and I love the challenger: I love pushing myself to be better all the time. I enjoy few things more than the sport and the camaraderie within the sailors and the team.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING REGIMEN? Lots of sailing, when I am not sailing, right now I am studying, but weight room/cycling/running takes up the rest of the time.
