It’s no surprise to anyone who knows him that early West Coast support for the Olympic Medalist Donor program came from Fritz Jewett. Fritz, of St. Francis Yacht Club, is widely known for his pivotal role as Chairman and participant in numerous America’s Cup campaigns, including Intrepid, Enterprise, Freedom, Liberty, Stars & Stripes and America One. Over the years, numerous St. Francis Yacht Club sailors have represented our country at the Olympic Games and Fritz, as Chairman of the America One Foundation, spearheads an ongoing grant program which supports a wide variety of sailing programs including direct support of US Sailing Team-members as well as community sailing and disabled sailing programs. US SAILING thanks Fritz for his continued support at many levels of our sport and for his leadership gift to our US Sailing Team. |
