Report to the Board of Directors

1.   Budget Review and Discussion:  There was considerable discussion regarding the Hoyt-Jolley Fund which is a designated fund used to defray costs of putting on the Alter Cup Event. We were pleased to see that there has been growth in the account after many months of decline. The Finance Director has promised Art Stevens a monthly Report.

2.   Fast and Fun Program: Fast and Fun has been privately funded for three years and it is the only US SAILING outreach program remaining after budgetary cuts.

3.   Elections:  Elections were held. Three officers and five Area Reps were re-elected:

Chairman                   Art Stevens
Vice Chairman          Dan Mangus
Secretary                   Deborah K. Schaefer
Area B Rep                Joe Manganello
Area D Rep               John Williams
Area F Rep                John Tomko
Area H Rep                Ken Marshack
Area K Rep                Mike Hill

4.    Alter Cup:  The 2004 Alter Cup Event will be held in Northeast Region on Hobie 16s. We thank Hobie Cat Company for their continued support.

5.   Golden Anchor:  Darline Hobock continues to administer the Golden Anchor Program.

6.   Offshore Multihull Championship:  Dave Lumian has been charged with organizing an Offshore Multihull Championship. The proposed event will be hosted by the Pensacola Yacht Club on F-28-Rs.
