BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION
Last October,
US SAILING amended is its bylaws to restructure the organization and
dramatically downsize the Board of Directors, from 49 to 14 members,
making it more nimble and efficient. For the first time ever, the
members of US SAILING will elect the Board of Directors.

VOLVO OCEAN RACE PANEL DISCUSSION
US SAILING's
Annual Meeting will also be the
site of an exciting, educational panel on the Volvo Ocean
Race on Friday, November 17th at
the Newport Hyatt on Goat Island from 5:00
until 6:15 p.m.

Participating in the panel discussion are Stan Honey,
navigator on the winning team of ABN AMRO One; Ken Read,
helmsman and tactician for Ericsson Racing Team; Jerry Kirby,
bowman for Pirates of the Caribbean; and Jennifer Lilly,
the official weather forecaster for the Volvo Ocean Race.
The panel will be moderated by Gary Jobson.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet these sailing experts
in person and learn more about the exciting Volvo Ocean Race!
This meeting is open to all!
Fee is waived for all registered US
SAILING Fall Meeting Attendees .
For non-registered
attendees, a $10 donation at the door

United States Sailing Association attendee to receive this group
rate. Reservations made after the cut
off date will be on a space and rate availability only.

once again graciously hosting a reception at Newport's
Ocean
Cliff Hotel on Thursday, November 16th, 2006 from 6:30pm -
8:30pm. More details to follow.

SAILING'S AWARDS DINNER
US SAILING's
Dinner and Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, November
18th, 2006 at the Newport Hyatt Regency. Cocktail Reception begins
at 6:30pm with dinner to follow. Awards will include the
Nathanael G. Herreshoff Award and the Timothea Larr Award. Dinner is $49.00 per person.
Reservations and payment for dinner must be made before
November 14th, 2006. No exceptions will be made after this
date.
PLEASE NOTE:
When registering for dinner(s) online, please be sure to check off
the cost for dinner(s) on each page when prompted.. If you check "yes" for dinner,
please also include your meal selection. On the sub-total and all
following pages, you must continue to check boxes for dinner when
prompted. On the final payment page, If you do not see the charge
for dinner in the "Total" box at the top of the page, you have not
successfully registered for dinner
If you do not
make arrangements for payment for dinner(s) at this point in the
registration process, you will not receive a dinner ticket.
