2006 US SAILING Annual Campaign
The success of US SAILING is dependant on support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Without the leadership of US SAILING donors, programs supporting youth development, community sailing, and disabled sailors, and the US SAILING Team would not be possible. 2006 was a banner year for US SAILING and included highlights such as:
· $53,000 raised from 482 donors for the 1st Annual Campaign which supported the development of the Disabled Sailing program;
· 1,400 Certified Sailing Instructors were trained and in turn taught 60,000 students;
· 1,700 Offshore Rating Certificates were processed;
· 4,000 youth sailors participated in 25 USA Junior Olympic Sailing Festivals throughout the country.
