Tuesday Report Sears 2004

The day was as near perfect as you could get. We sailed in the outer bay, with 75 degrees tempreature, winds from the south between 7 and 15 miles per hour. A gradual shift to the west kept things interesting. We sailed 4 races, about an hour long each. The boats were constantly overlapped at mark roundings. Competition was VERY close, with all the kids "Lightning Learning Curve" in high gear! Betsy coached between races and you could see the improvement each race.

Wednesday's prediction of 15 to 25 could be an interesting day. Lightnings become quite a different boat when the breeze gets above 20!.We expect some foks to get real wet in that case!

After racing Betsy gave them a chalk talk then off to Pizza Putt..... yep... Pizza and miniature golf... inside... cool! I suspect the competition from earlier in the day continued on the golf course!
