Scoring

|
C omputer scoring is the only way to go these days. A program that will put your results on your website is what you want. Many good programs are available on the web. We recommend that you use any scoring program at least once before your event.
US SAILING/ Regatta Network's online event registration system can provide scoring using the same website that you are using to manage online registration. If you use Regatta Network for scoring, you can post a link right to a website so that the scores will be posted instantaneously.
It also can provide data to be transferred directly into the most widely used scoring programs, but that is a two step process so many regattas are finding using Regatta Network's scoring is faster and easier than earlier methods.
Note: If you use Regatta Network's scoring, just send US SAILING the link in advance and we will post it on the championship's website.
The top priority after a day's racing is to have complete scores posted and, if possible, copies for all. Post scores on your website and send to US SAILING ASAP after racing or that evening at the latest. First and last names of skippers and crews and their hometowns should appear in results.
The awards ceremony should be held as soon as possible after the last race. At all costs, avoid having awards held up due to scoring problems or protests.
