Day 1– October 4, 2006

The winds that greeted the racers for the practice session slipped out of town as the warning gun for the first flight sounded.  Each match was well contested, but before the flight was completed, signs of the fading winds were apparent.

Despite the watchful eyes of the competitors and the Race Committee teasers continue to taunt as all waited on shore.  The results of the first flight have been posted and everyone is ready for tomorrow's early start.
