The 2008 U.S. Men's Championship shaped up to be one of the most competitive in many years.  The lead  changed back and forth each day between the top two boats.

At the finish of the final race Scott Young of Austin, Texas won the title of U.S. Men's Champion for a record  sixth time, having last won it just two years ago.
