US SAILING Board of Directors Election

In October 2005, US SAILING amended its Bylaws to restructure the organization and dramatically downsize the Board of Directors, from 49 to 14 members, making the Board more nimble and efficient. From now on, three seats on the Board will be open annually for election. As a member, you have the power to directly elect these Board members, thereby building ownership in the organization and selecting the best people to lead the sport in the United States.

The President and one Director are running unopposed. Members of the Board of Directors will serve for a three-year term in rotation.

The election period for US SAILING's Board of Directors will take place from
August 29 to October 8, 2008.
