CALL TO ORDER - Bill Munster, Chair

Designate Working Groups (must be on a working group to be a member of the SASC).

WG1 – Special Regulations
             Four Submissions to US SAILING.
             Due to ISAF by September 1, 2005 - Offshore/Board approval required.
             Identify areas that require explanation

WG2 – Education/Seminar
             How to meet ISAF Standards
             Possible keep seminars as is for US events
             Additional training for International events
             Category 2 Training
             Moderators - succession/screening plan
             Measures of success
                        Nowlan to report # of seminars, attendees, attendees/seminar, other.
            How to service smaller venues.
            Seminar density - We had two seminars come to us in roughly the same time
            and same area.  Is there a way to support gate attendance by limiting
            seminars by design?
            Bonnell Cove Foundation Helo Training Video, where is it being used? – Ron
                        Trossbach
            Asked Sports Medicine Committee to review the existing First Aid book and
                         update it. – Status?
            Asked Sports Medicine Committee to review medical sections of the regs and
                         update it. – Status?

WG3 – Inspection

            Standardize forms
            Hawley created the 10 toughest regs to pass and gives examples on how to
            manage/install these.  Would Hawley be willing to put this on the website?

WG4 – Hanson medals – Dan Doyle

Safety Initiative
The ExComm approved a proposal for US SAILING to host a forum for all boating organizations in the National Boating Safety Advisory Council, to set safety goals for the Coast Guard, to be approved by the Secretary of Homeland Security.   Past President Muldoon will submit a grant to the Coast Guard in the name of US SAILING.

Standards

           ISAF, ISO, etc. updates - Dr. Bruce Eissner.
