Insurance for US SAILING Members
Big Boat Insurance Program US SAILING has announced a new benefit for its individual members managed by their insurance partner, Gowrie Barden & Brett, Inc of Westbrook Connecticut. Now US SAILING members, whether they race a Transpac 52, cruise a Tartan 40, or enjoy a vintage Huckins 44, are eligible for this new insurance program. Gowrie Barden & Brett has structured the insurance offerings in three categories: 1. Racing Sailboats- A comprehensive policy that addresses the unique needs of the serious racing sailor, where premium is based on race itinerary, boat type and owner experience. Coverage is included for:a. Captain & Crewb. Equipment containers c. Shippingd. Overland transportatione. Tenders2. Cruising Sailboat or Powerboat - Customized coverage, personalized service and access to over eight “A” rated insurance carriers to meet the specific needs of almost any boat.
