Twelve boats competed in
this year’s Area F Qualifier which was held in Palacios, TX, Aug. 6-7th,
2005. Saturday morning started off with hot, muggy conditions and very
little wind. Wisely, the race committee postponed racing until the sea
breeze filled in around 2pm. At this time, two races were held with the
wind blowing between 5-10mph. Unfortunately, the wind never materialized on
Sunday, so around noon the regatta was called. The winner of the Area F
Qualifier, with 2 bullets, is John Tomko with crew Tiffany Tomko sailing
their Hobie Tiger.
