Area E Semi-Finals for the Alter Cup

Steeplechase Race

                The Sandusky Steeplechase is a 12 mile wet and wild race from Sandusky, Ohio to South Bass Island (Put-in-Bay).  Trophies will be awarded three deep for any class of five or more cats. The Sailing Spirit/Bill Wells Trophy will be awarded for First Overall based on US SAILING Portsmouth Handicaps. Entry fee is $30.
                The Bay Week Regatta is one of the largest fresh water events in the United States with approximately 300 entries. One Design Centerboards and Catamarans will have a separate course with an Expert Race Committee. Trophies will be awarded three deep for any class of five or more boats, and a Catamaran Portsmouth fleet for the Area E Semi-Finals. Qualifiers will advance to the US SAILING Multihull Championship for the Alter Cup to be held in Spring 2001. Registration is $40 for US SAILING members and $45 for non-members. The John Borman Cup will be awarded to the First Place Catamaran Overall based on Portsmouth.
